The palate is restrained and elegant, very much like a fine cognac, the alcohol is beautifully integrated and is balanced by flavours of toffee, oak, and vanilla. The silky finish is long and as it eventually fades leaves you with chocolatey notes.

I am very pleasantly surprised that this is a tasty and complex Rum that just happens to be bottled at flame thrower strength.
