Product Description
Aside from its origins, our Master Blender Arnaud de Trabuc was keenly aware of the public’s newfound appreciation for spirits with character. Using aged Trinidadian rum as the backbone for his new product, he layered the spirit with high toned aged Barbados rums, heavier post-distilled Jamaican Rums, earthy Guyanese rums and the spicy spirit of the former Dutch colony of Batavia. Over twenty rums sourced independently were blended to achieve the final product. Rums stored in former Bourbon barrels, are typically color corrected to minimize irregularities from batch to batch. Behind every great journey, you’ll find a team of fiercely passionate, dedicated people. In 1768, the Endeavour embarked on her epic voyage of discovery with Sir Joseph Banks on board and Capitan Cook at the helm. In 2008, we set sail on our own endeavour – to uncover, consider and create uncommonly fine rums. We call it BANKS, and we stake our reputations on it. The Endeavour Limited Edition I is a release of 1743 bottles inspired by the voyages of Sir Joseph Banks on the ship The Endeavour. We have created a sophisticated blend of two fine old rums. These rare and aged rums are individually selected from exclusive Banks reserves and each have had a minimum of 16 years in the cask.
Bronze/burnished orange color. Vibrant aromas of dried fruits, old leather/men’s club, tree bark and herbs make for enchanting sniffing. Taste profile is deep and complex, showing off nicely fused flavors of oak, winter holiday cake spices and caramel. Finish is delicious and lush.
