Deep amber colour. Medium-bodied, with a silky mouth-feel. Some sweet citrus, mocha and vanilla flavours with floral hints of heather and lilac. Soft, elegant finish with an expanding warmth.
-
Big, fat and sweet. Butter and raisins. Forms slowly with pineapple, stewed fruits, malted milk, coconut, cereal, cocoa, orange. Big (but balanced) oak. The palate is round and rich. Sweet dried fruits, brazil nut, coffee, soft malt, popcorn. The finish is long. Plenty of oak but the spirit holds its own. An extra dimension to the 10 Year Old.

A blend of three different types of whiskey—malt whiskey, grain whiskey, and a third component which is said to be a malt whiskey produced from crystal malt. It’s rich texture suggests a decent malt content for a blend. Layers of sweetness (honeyed vanilla, rummy molasses, toasted marshmallow) are balanced by toasted nuts, dried fruit, and dark chocolate. Very dynamic and with plenty of grit.
-
Distinctive, full bodied aroma, with lots of character – fruity, malty and nutty sweet sherry flavours all intermingling. Complex, assertive, well flavoured, slightly sweet. Sherry succulence, melt-in-the-mouth maltiness, with just a hint of toasted wood in the background.
-
Highly Recommended…A full, sweet nose brimful with nutty butter toffee and a hint of sherry wood. Refreshingly green mid-palate, this is a very soft and elegantly balanced whiskey that floats over the palate. A complex amalgam of malt and sherry wood bound together by a rich smooth fruitiness.
-
More of a honey-spiked whiskey rather than a liqueur, this is ideal for mixing or introducing beginners to the pleasures of Irish whiskey. Authentic honey richness comes through on the palate, but it’s subtle and not overly sweet, and doesn’t lose the pleasures of the fresh, lightly fruity base spirit.
-
The classic Irish blend, Bushmills Original is made up of grain whiskey matured for five years before blending with malt whiskeys. Triple distilled and very supple.
-
The barrels for the Clonakilty Port Finish Blended Whiskey are stored on the rugged cliffs in the south of Ireland. All the components of this blend are matured in Clonakilty Distillery’s Atlantic warehouses.
-
The barrels for the Clonakilty Bordeaux Finish Single Grain Whiskey are stored on the rough cliffs in the south of Ireland. An 8-year-old single grain whiskey that was subsequently matured in a Bordeaux Cask in the warehouse on the cliffs. The finish gives the whiskey even more complexity and a great taste. The whiskey is finished and bottled in small batches.

Inspired by Ireland’s ancient distilling traditions, Connemara’s smooth sweet malt taste and complex peat flavours makes it a truly unique Irish whiskey. Produced in Cooley distillery, the 12-year-old edition of Connemara single malt has a full, rounded and complex flavour that is both smooth and smoky at the same time. The peat smoke is well integrated and only limited amounts of Connemara 12 Year Old are made each year.
-
Launched in 1995 by the Cooley Distillery, it was the first single malt peated Irish. 75% of the barley malt used is peated. Color gold, connemmara reveals amazing. A blind, it evokes nothing Irish style and shows a lot more like a single malt Scotch share his size and aromatic typicality. The elegant and perfumed nose evokes malt and licorice with a slight smoky peat. Creamy and balanced palate confirms the aromas of the nose. The finish is quite long.
-
Contrary to its cheeky name, this premium liquor is a blend of the highest quality Irish Malt and grain whiskey, distilled in traditional copper pot stills amongst the rolling hills of Northern Ireland. Perfectly balanced, this playful spirit has its own unique character and delivers a silky smooth, honeyed finish with gentle malty notes. It’s won a number of prestigious whiskey-tasting accolades, and deservedly so.

-
Jameson 18 Year Old Limited Edition is an exceptionally balanced whiskey. Its wonderfully mellow complex taste and lingering finale of wood, spice and toffee have been deftly created by the Master Blender. His handpicked selection of no fewer than 3 exquisitely poised whiskeys, are the light, shade and foreground used to craft this unique blend. Dutifully matured for no less than 18 years in a combination of bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks and finished in first fill American bourbon barrels, this is a masterful whiskey of great fluency with a rich, smooth taste.
-
For their 18-year-old whiskey, Jameson mingles pot still and grain whiskies, ages the blend in Sherry cask then finishes it in first-fill bourbon barrels. The mellow result shows aromas of spice, toffee and apricot followed by flavours of fudge and Sherry nuttiness. A lasting finish, pair with toffee apple cake.

-
Influenced by grain whiskey, offers an elegant and floral taste combined with a citrus lightness. A little chilli oil brings a prickle of spices to the palate.

It is a marvellously rich pot still character whiskey.
-
Jameson stands apart from other whiskey because of its exceptionally smooth taste and unique Irish attitude. Jameson has all the credentials of a premium Irish whiskey brand, but doesn't take itself too seriously.

-
Now a permanent expression in the family having originally launched as a limited edition, Redbreast 15 Year Old is matured in a combination of Spanish Oloroso sherry casks and American Bourbon whiskey barrels. Redbreast 15 Year Old is non chill filtered.
-
Redbreast 21 year old completes a hat trick for Irish Distillers, but this is by far and away the best Irish release of the year. It’s an immense whiskey: oily, spicy, rich, gloopy, and with red berries, menthol, and citrus abundant. It’s complex, too, but you don’t have to live with it long to realize what a gem it is. And very well judged: the oak and spice suggest that these first fill bourbon and sherry casks had reached the edge of a cliff.
-
Great whiskeys don’t just happen by chance. Years of experience and consummate skill go into the precise selection of whiskeys used in Jameson Select Reserve. The rare, sweet grain whiskey – not found in any other Jameson Whiskey – is triple distilled in small batch quantities on just one occasion each year. The result is an extremely rich and luxurious taste experience, combining spice and exotic fruits. We think you will agree it is a selection well made.

Long before barrels make their mark, a pot still has the first say.
-
Kilbeggan, once overshadowed by its stable-mates, is the rising star in the Cooley repertoire; an active distillery once more and capable of thoroughbred gems like this. This isn’t your typical Irish whiskey at all, so be warned. Sure there are lashings of soft caramel, peach crumble, and vanilla up front, but then the wood takes over and big waves of tannin and chili pepper kick in. Limited edition release.
-

-
Like the man himself, this is altogether more considered and elegant, mixing whiskeys up to 25 years old for a complex experience. Instead, lemon and lime zest, kumquat, and blood orange entwine themselves around vanilla, nutmeg, and soft, drying tannins. No big knockout punches, but it goes the distance and wins unanimously and easily on points.

Powers is a rich, round, complex and full-flavoured drinking experience, rated as “One of the best in all Ireland. Classic stuff!
-
It’s an outstanding example of Irish, rich and mouth-filling, with a warming, luscious body. The nose is slightly hot, offering hints of honey and cinnamon. The body, however, is far more sophisticated and complex, and not really hot at all. Deep honey notes, vanilla, caramels, and touches of barley. Slightly nutty on the finish, with hints of charcoal and chocolate, too. This is a whiskey that offers tremendous depth, not something you typically associate with Irish, which is often made in a simpler style.
-
