Product Description
With a history dating back to 1503, the exquisite Tudor-framed Hush Heath Manor nestles and cuts into the hill overlooking the vineyards and estate with magnificent views across the Weald of Kent. Something of a refuge from the cut and thrust of Balfour-Lynn’s luxury hotel and business empire, the estate with its Tudor inspired kitchen garden, Italianate Yew terracing and statuary, and Japanese ponds, is enveloped in ancient oak woodland, a little Eden and a fitting setting for the Balfour wines and vision. The house and gardens are maintained with the same passion and pride as the vineyards and orchards. During the restoration of the house every one of the 5,000 15th Century roof tiles were meticulously repaired and put back in place. Helping to turn his dream into reality Balfour-Lynn has turned to Master of Wine, Stephen Skelton, for his extensive experience in viticulture.
A pale gold in colour and with a fine and sustained mousse. The bouquet is clean and fresh with a hint of autolysis, white pepper, and dried herb aromas. The palate is lime and pear, the finish offers fabulous hints of lime, fine bubbles, precise citrus notes of lime and lemon, and savoury, biscuity complexity.
