A wonderful rich and powerful whisky, the sherry flavours very prominent but not overpowering. Once the whisky has had some air infused with it, there is some light nuttiness and vanilla flavours fighting their way through.

Buttery on the palate, classic oloroso nose on dried elderflower. Slightly smoked as well. Some pine wood, vanilla and honey. Figs. Lots of sherry again (prunes, dates…), with waves of sweeter flavours and vanilla. Brioche and hints of pear. The finish is quite dry and nutty, with a wonderfully warm aftertaste, some smoke and spices as well.
