1831 gin is made on a base of grain alcohol distilled five times, in a still 130 years. The different botanicals used are juniper, cloves, thyme, cinnamon, chamomile and four other botanicals. As a result a classic cut is achieved, very thin and delicate, perfect for any combination, or gin and tonic cocktail.

The spirit consists of at least 50% Grande Champagne wines, the distilling is traditional. The humid cellars of Fussigny are situated at the river of Charente, pushing aromas to where they are supposed to end up. Like all Fussigny Cognacs, the XO is aged in Tronconnais casks or Limousin oak barrels.
