A true sophistication in taste brought to the finest level is what this wine is all about. This is a dense, complex wine, with good tannic structure. The lingering finesse of the tannins gives the wine good length and a pleasant, soft mouthfeel. Deep, aromatic and complex with very appealing intense fruit.
Aromas of blueberry, vanilla, fresh boysenberry with hints of dark chocolate and jasmine black tea entice. Lovely black fruits and fresh flavors throughout the palate with notes of graphite, voluptuous tannin and a finish of black cherry and dark chocolate.
The flagship wine for Carelli, this Malbec does not disappoint. Great plum and cranberry perfume with some good spice and leafy secondary characters. Soft but plentiful tannins work well with the acidity and depth of fruit flavour on the palate.
Dark ruby-colored, it exhibits an attractive bouquet of cedar, spice box and black cherry. Medium- to full-bodied, on the palate it is a substantial palate of fruity, savoury wine combined with an easy-going personality.
Old vine aromas of dark fruit, earth, tanned leather and Chinese tea. Full body, round and velvety tannins and an intense finish. This is made from selected old vines.

These Zapata vines are carefully hand-tended and produce extremely low yields. The grapes are micro-fermented in new French oak barriques prior to spending 18 months in new French oak for aging. This wine is produced in very limited quantity.
Catena Zapata Malbec Argentino is made from a meticulous vine selection in the best lots of the Catena family’s estate vineyards. These Zapata vines are carefully hand tended and produce extremely low yields. The grapes are micro-fermented in new French oak barriques and the wine is then aged for 24 months in new French oak. This wine is made in very limited quantities.
Catena Zapata Nicasia Vineyard Malbec is made from a meticulous vine selection in the best, historic rows of the Catena family's estate vineyards. These Zapata vines are carefully hand-tended and produce extremely low yields. The grapes are micro-fermented in new French oak barriques prior to spending 18 months in new French oak for aging. This wine is produced in very limited quantity.
