A grape based spirit. Being based on grape rather than grain neutral spirit seems to add body and faint sweetness to this classically styled yet subtly herbal dry gin. The specially selected botanicals in GinT include Friulian Juniper berries from the Adriatic coast with Moscato grapes, Coriander seeds, Angelica root, mace, vanilla pods and sweet orange peels. It is crafted using pure water from the Italian Alps and distilled in small batched in alembic pot stills that were produced in 1955.
The result is that Berkeley Square has a depth of flavour and perfect balance that allows for this subtle gin to really release all of its character. It does however, provide a very different proposition when making cocktails as the herbal elements shine through.
