The tTquila is distilled in small batches and finished with a “proprietary” ultra-slow filtration. Each bottle is hand-filled and labeled with batch number, a bottle code, and for its aged products, the number of months the tequila is aged. For the Reposado, that is 6 months in used American oak bourbon barrels.

Made with volcano water sourced from an artesian well located on the distillery’s grounds. The water goes through reverse osmosis and carbon filters with silver ions to eliminate the chance of impurities. It is fermented in stainless steel columns before undergoing double-pot distillation through a combination of copper and silver stills – a process that preserves the natural flavors of the top-quality agave used. The entire range is aged in American Oak Bourbon Barrels. The Reposado expression is aged for three months, delivering a round, harmonious palate of vanilla, wood, spice, and green vegetal.

This Reposado (aged) tequila is intense amber in colour, with a surprising silky and rich body. Soft on the bouquet; it displays harmonious notes of aromatic oak, fresh agave, pepper, vanilla and toffee caramel. These entrancing flavours are carried through onto the palate. The ageing time gives this sipping tequila an amazing balance, body and flavour profile.

A mild whiff of tropical fruit leads the bouquet. The palate is light and mildly sweet with a trace of coconut, finishing peppery, crisp and a bit fiery. Aged for six months in former Napa Cabernet barrels.

Utilising the French Charentais method of distillation, Corralejo distill twice to capture optimum flavour and aroma. In a unique maturation process, this smooth Reposado then rests in three separate casks, one French and two of American oak. Patrón Reposado is a nice switch for current tequila drinkers who want a bit more complexity and smoothness of taste. Aged in oak barrels for over two months, it blends the fresh, clean taste of Patrón Silver with the oaky flavor of Patrón Añejo. The balance of fresh agave and oak wood with subtle fruit, citrus and honey notes makes it an excellent sipping tequila or for a premium cocktail. Like its other Patrón counterparts, each bottle of Patrón Reposado is unique, made from recycled glass and hand-numbered.

Aged for 4-5 months in ex-bourbon barrels (the traditional is aged in a combination of ex-bourbon, French, and Hungarian Oak). The bouquet has a similar restrained quality as the Roca Silver, and while there’s definite impact from the ex-bourbon barrel with caramel, vanilla, and oak, it’s much more subdued than the traditional Patron Reposado.
