Dominated, as are all the wines from this small cooperative, by Pinot Noir. It has swathes of ripe red-berry and apple fruits with a dry intensity and fine refreshing vibrant acidity. This top-quality Champagne for the here and now.

The producer held this wine back from release because it came from such a great age-worthy vintage. This is well worth the wait. With the wonderful richness of the Pinot Noir dominating, this is a balanced wine, just hinting at toastiness, with concentrated ripe apple fruits melding into the texture of this great release.

It’s a fascinating cuvee, 100% Ambonnay Pinot Noir. Intense but elegant with hints of the oak and gentle vanilla spice notes. Plenty of subtle complexity on the finish.

100% Les Crayeres Pinot Noir, 50-year old vines. Satiny texture, gorgeous, highly complex bouquet and palate of honeysuckle, quince, lemon cream, buttery croissant, flowers and a kiss of toasty oak. A blast of vibrant acidity warms up the palate for rich, layered, long similar flavors, with serious minerality and chalky sea air notes that complement beautifully. WOW!!
