Text book Pauillac aromas of cedar wood, gravel, cassis, blackberry, truffle and tobacco, has round tannins and all the right stuff to age, yet offers pleasure after only a few years of bottle age. Nice value Bordeaux wine, especially for a Classified Growth.

On the bouquet, the freshness of the fruit stands out, finding subtle harmony with the wood. On the palate, it is rounded, smooth and mellowed. The tannins are silky and very ripe.

The bouquet is packed out with black fruits all feeling ripe. Rich cassis and black cherry are underpinned by a slight freshness of bilberry and bramble, complex mix of flavours. The back palate is rich and deep but the finish has elegance coming from the fresher fruit.
