Diplomatico Ambassador Selection has been created by Rum Master Tito Cordero, only the 3rd Rum Master in the history of DUSA. Crafted from 100% heavy pot still rums and aged for a minimum of 12 years, the rum is aged in ex-bourbon casks and then finished for an additional two years in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks.
-
Diplomatico Rum Liqueur is produced from column-still rums aged for over six years. This is combined with pure cane sugar syrup to produce a seductively sweet liqueur.
-
Mantuano is the replacement for Diplomatico's Reserva rum. 'Mantuano', meaning 'nobleman', reflects Don Juancho's status and his passion for travel and the discovery of new spirits, mainly rums. Don Juancho is present on each of Diplomatico's rums.

The Batch Kettle Still was brought to Diplomático’s La Miel distillery in 1959. This semi-artisanal distillation system is originally from Canada, where it was employed for the production of American whisky. Using the best sugar cane honeys, this unique distillate is aged for 6 years in American white oak barrels, that previously served to age bourbon and scotch, resulting in a delicious medium-body and complex rum.

The Barbet Column Still was brought to Diplomático’s La Miel distillery in 1959. This continuous distillation system is originally from France. Using high quality sugar cane molasses, the distillate is aged in American white oak barrels until it reaches its optimum maturity, resulting in a unique rum.

Planas is the replacement for Diplomatico Blanco. It is made the same as the Blanco expression. Due to Venezuelan law, rum cannot be bottled until it is as least two years old.

-
Aromas of vanilla, cooked banana and hints of caramel and butterscotch. The palate is buttery with toffee brittle, peanut butter and spice. The soft oak finish is complimented with lingering spice.
-
Chocolate brown in color, the rum exudes nuttiness and dark, bittersweet chocolate on the nose. Fresh sugar coats the tongue as you taste, and Pampero takes you on a trip into desserts galore on the body — chocolate mousse, creme brulee, caramel pudding. The finish keeps going and going. Wood is there, but it’s sedate and stays in the background. The rum may look impossibly dark, but it actually spends only 4 to 6 years in old bourbon barrels. Really quite seductive and delicious.
-
Pampero Blanco is a fresh, clean, sweet and fruity white rum. It is a light tasting rum not as full of flavour as you might expect. A silky creaminess on the tongue with hints of toffee and a little vanilla.
-
The first couple of whiffs pick up toasty notes of caramel, almond butter, cotton candy and very old oak; with aeration, more profound aromas develop including saddle leather, vanilla, Sherry and dark caramel. Palate entry is perfectly balanced and sweet; by mid-palate the flavor profile is honeyed, slightly cocoa-like, buttery to the feel and utterly decadent. Finishes long, layered, creamy and dark chocolate bittersweet.

The oldest reserves of Santa Teresa, up to 80 years, are blended with new generation rums and in oak barrels for 15 years, achieving an unsurpassed maturity. This is an exceptional rum, unique because of it's mahogany colour and fiery aroma. It is sweet and fruity on the palate and strong bodied, leaving a firm, harmonious finish.
-
Bright aromas of banana cream pie and faint polished wood follow through on a supple, soft entry to a dry medium-to-full body with hints of toffee and peppery spices. Finishes with a lacquer, nut, and eucalyptus honey accented fade.
-
Bright amber color. Soft aromas of vanilla and coconut cream follow through on a round entry to a dryish medium-to-full body with sweet baking spices and a long satisfying and warm finish. Excellent.
-
Santa Teresa Selecto Rum even moreso flavorful with hints of cinnamon, warm amber, and vanilla. The bottle itself is also handcrafted to be smooth, sleek, and sensuous, curving beautifully to allow the honey-hued liquid to shine through beautifully. In short – this rum is completely tantalizing.
