Cachaca, the national spirit of Brazil is distilled from the pure juice of sugar cane and Ypioca Cachaca uses only the first crush to deliver a superior taste. A family owned business dating back to 1846, now in its fifth generation, Ypioca cachaca is the largest and one of the most traditional spirit manufactures in Brazil. The company have their own plantations in North Eastern Brazil and bottle only produce from their own skills for ultimate quality control. Column distilled, Ypioca is then aged for 2 years.
Gold with a pale gold hue. Moderate aromas of fruit bread and green olives over boiled confectionary, pine sap and brown sugar notes. A dry, silky entry builds into a medium sweet, soft, full bodied profile – gentle green peppercorns add spice over flavours of boiled confectionary followed by a touch of Turkish delight. Drying aftertaste with a cafe-caramel fade.
