In the late 90’s Howard Paterson and Steve Cozens had a vision to see the Waitaki Valley of North Otago become one of New Zealand’s premium sites for outstanding wine growing. After much trial and tribulation, thanks to limestone rich soils, an extended growing season and limited frost risk, a stellar team including Steve, multi-award winning winemaker Michelle Richardson and arguably New Zealand’s highest profile Chef, Peter Gordon, have created a unique range of exceptional wines that reflect the unique terroir from which they are derived.
The unique bouquet projects pear drops, ginger blossom and hint of ripe fig. Full bodied and balanced between grape and winemaking components, this wine is elegant, refreshing and has wonderful natural acidity. Lingering palate, full flavoured and balanced on the finish.
