Product Description
One of Ireland’s finest whiskeys, Tullamore Dew was first distilled in 1829 in the small town of Tullamore in County Offaly in the heart of Ireland. The name derives from the initials of an early owner, Daniel E Williams – DEW. Tullamore Dew is a distinctive Irish whiskey with a smooth, mild, mellow taste. This smooth taste is a major feature of the brand compared to many Irish and Scotch competitors. Experts describe Tullamore Dew as “subtle, smooth and with a pleasant maltiness combined with charred wood undertones and the natural flavour of golden barley”. Tullamore Dew’s particular taste character depends on the correct balance of mature whiskeys blended together.
Brilliant gold. Refined praline and toffee nose. A clean, light palate follows through with subdued, grainy malt, hints of vanilla and flowers. Finishes with a slightly citrusy and oak spice note. Subtle and refined.
