Product Description
Tenuta Stella is set in an area noted for its hamlets and remote farms that have dotted the rolling hills of the Collio since Roman times. Gorizia’s Collio is an area extraordinarily well suited to viticulture because of its unique climate and soil composition. The land here in the hills of Eastern Friuli is called “Ponca”, its origins dating back the Eocene, when slow sedimentation of marine areas, with limestone and clay, created this fertile land. The low yielding Guyot trained vines running along the high altitude terraced vineyards of Tenuta Stella are only treated with organic fertilizer and do not require pesticides. Indigenous Ribolla Gialla and Malvasia are the true expression of Collio Terroir.
Brilliant straw yellow with golden reflections. The bouquet is intense, warm and complex, with notes of ripe fruit such as apple, pear and banana, and a slight sensation of vanilla and honey blends. The palate is warm and velvety, but remains bright and vivid with freshness guaranteed by the balance between body and acidity.
