Product Description
Founded by Chilean agricultural impresario Juan Sutil, Viña Sutil is the result of his family’s love of agriculture and rural life since they arrived in Chile from Spain in 1850. Guided by his enterprising spirit and driven by the desire to contribute to the development of Chile’s wine industry, in 1995 Juan and his nephew Diego García de la Huerta Sutil established Viña Sutil in the Colchagua Valley convinced of the excellence of the land and its climate. This dream expanded in its early decades to the country’s top denominations of origin, from Limarí in the north to the coastal Leyda Valley, from the renowned Maipo Valley in central Chile to the southern valleys of Maule, Curicó, and Cauquenes. Winemaker Camilo Viani is making new-wave, very terroir focused wines, with an awareness of working with the environment – it’s a nice touch that they maintain the wide strip of land between the vineyards and the Tinguiririca River as a wildlife corridor and take great care to protect the local flora and fauna. Camilo Viani has played an integral part of the winery’s vegan certification (one of the first wineries in Chile to receive this) sustainability certification and BRC accreditation.
Cherry red with a subtle violet hue. The bouquet is very intense and offers notes of fresh red fruits such as sour cherries, raspberries, white strawberries, and pomegranates. The palate is smooth and very fresh, full of red fruit flavour, and the finish is fresh and very fruity.
