Product Description
Long before it was a drink, it was a town. Tequila in Mexico. Home in 1858 to Don Cenobio Sauza — an industrious and ambitious man who bought himself five stage coaches to deliver the local firewater all over the state. There would be no Casa Sauza® if not for the three Dons. Since 1873, each played an instrumental role in the production of the world’s finest tequilas. Today, their spirits live on in each bottle that comes out of Casa Sauza®. In 1873 he bought the Antigua Cruz Distillery and started to make his own tequila. Soon after, he despatched his first shipment to the US, and the tequila export trade was born. For more than 100 years, each played an instrumental role in the production of the world’s finest tequilas. Today, their spirits live on in each bottle that comes out of Casa Sauza®. All our tequilas are carefully produced using a unique method known as fresh pressed agave. We use the nectar of the finest blue weber agave and then cook the juices only after they’ve been extracted from the piña. This innovative approach ensures our agave flavors are their freshest and most pure.
Light golden amber color. Honeyed buttered rye toast, sweet spice, and vanilla aromas have a minerally edge. Round entry, supple, oily texture medium-bodied with flavors of caramel, toast, floral honey and grilled pepper. Finishes with an ashy mineral fade.
