Product Description
The heart of the winery, Azienda Vitivinicola Santa Cristina, is in this area, for it was here that the first wine cellar was built, close to Lake Garda and thus with a favourably mild climate. The lake acts as a sort of natural reservoir of heat, creating a spontaneous balance of various forces of nature: atmosphere, water, currents and, especially, the mountains all around. The soil is perfect for growing vines and for the Trebbiano di Lugana variety in particular. The Santa Cristina estate comprises 40 hectares of vineyards and particular prominence is given to a native variety, Trebbiano di Lugana, for the creation of wines that respect nature and bring out the best of a terroir of great prestige and history. In the delightful hills close to Lake Garda, a land blessed with a mild climate, ideal for wine-growing, beats the original heart of the Zenato family: Tenuta S. Cristina. With 40 hectares of vineyards cultivated using traditional techniques that fully respect the environment, the estate brings out the precious qualities of the native Trebbiano di Lugana grape to the full. Carefully selected grapes of the finest vintages are put through a meticulous winemaking process that combines traditional understanding with modern technology to create wines of great personality – the authentic expression of a unique terroir.
