The story goes that only after interminable sleepless nights was Stanislao Cobianchi able to produce the most eminent of herbal liqueurs. It was his passionate interest in herbs and his creativity inspired by the colours, aromas and flavours drawn from his many journeys around the world to provide the unique quality. Forty years later the celebrated Italian poet and writer of the last century Gabriele D’Annunzio himself defined it the “liqueur of the virtues.”
An Aperitif, Rosso Antico is infused with 32 herbs and spices including sage, thyme, elder, rhubarb, china bark and rosemary. Made from neutral grape alcohol and ruby red in colour, it is bittersweet on the palate with an aftertaste of peels and spices.
