Quinta do Noval Extra Dry White Port
This is a bright golden colour with an almond nuttiness on the bouquet. It shows great fresh fruit character on the palate and some almond and vanilla on the finish.
Product Description
The history of Quinta do Noval begins, as far as we are aware, in 1715. The estate belonged to the Rebello Valente family, although it did not have the reputation for the production of Port that it has today. The estate passed through several other hands before purchase by António José da Silva in 1894. If there is any moment in time which should be identified as a turning point for Quinta do Noval, this is it. Da Silva, and his son Luis Vasconcelos Porto, replanted vineyards, repaired buildings, widened the terraces – in doing so he made the estate one of the showpieces of the Douro – and generally kick-started a Quinta do Noval revolution.
The individual wines are aged in oak vats for about three years, where they acquire mellowness and character. They are blended to produce a rich white port in the traditional smooth, full-bodied style.
Pak Choi stuffed with Goat Cheese Sweet and Sour Sauce

INGREDIENTS
4 Pak choi cabbages
200g Goat cheese
8 Spring onions, chopped
Sweet and sour sauce (to taste)
Salt (to taste)
Pepper (to taste)
Olive oil (to taste)
Balsamic vinegar (to taste)
1. Slice the leaves of the Pak Choi and set aside.
2. Cut the inner cores to form baskets.
3. Blanche the baskets in boiling water.
4. Fill the baskets with the cheese and spring onions and cook in a hot over for 10 minutes.
5. If necessary, place under the grill until golden.
Whilst the baskets are cooking, season the leaves with the olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.
7. Serve the pak choi baskets with the salad and sweet and sour sauce.
