Since 1957, when our father Vincenzo had the idea of establishing a small still, we have always understood and considered grappa not just as a liqueur, but as a piece of our life, as something we love. The land where we live and work, Valle di Cembra, gives us a helping hand with its century-old traditions; our enological know-how leads us to search for liqueurs that are always better and better. The modesty of our father has always kept enthusiasm under control, and the energy and the teachings that our mother left us follow us in our everyday activities. «Wise Saverio» who for years helped us and taught us the many secrets of the art of stilling would always say: Don’t think too far ahead. We’ll finish when we finish. Never hurry. We are based in Faver, an ancient town located halfway in Valle di Cembra, on the side of a mountain with the colorful and sinister name of «Mount Vulture», which was soon changed by the town folk in «Monte Pincaldo». Our new distillery is located in Portegnac on the edge of the wine-growing territory of Valle di Cembra. It seemed to be the most natural place in the world for stilling because it has been rich in water and mills since ancient times. Nearby rises Mount «Castion» or «Castrum» as the Ancient Romans used to call it. It was a place where the ancient Celts would invoke their spirits. Distilling is not simple at all. It is an art based on knowledge, patience, skill and fantasy. For us, knowing how to distil means having respect for all those who came before us, the desire to innovate, the awareness of having reached excellent results, the ambition to grow. This is the production philosophy of our family.
Oak aged giving a light golden colour. Toasted aroma, full and dry with hints of vanilla. Supple and smooth on the finish.
