We are a family-owned winery and member of the Family of Twelve; Twelve prestigious family-owned wineries around New Zealand.Grapes are selected to harness the different sub-regional flavours of Marlborough’s terroirs. Nautilus Estate wines are carefully crafted; we produce wines that are synonymous with the best in New Zealand. Modern technology and traditional techniques have been deftly combined in our state-of-the-art winemaking facilities by our talented winemaking team. The resultant wines are stylish and individual. Established in 1985, Nautilus prides itself on producing premium wines from grapes sourced from its Renwick, Opawa and Awatere River Estate Vineyards and from a team of dedicated and specialist growers. In May 2000, Nautilus opened the first winery in New Zealand dedicated exclusively to the production of world-class Pinot Noir. In 2006, we completed a separate energy-efficient white winemaking facility. Whilst Nautilus wines can be enjoyed on their own, belief in the marriage of fine wine with food is a driving force for winemaker Clive Jones as he crafts each into a sophisticated and elegant wine.
The Nautilus Cuvee Brut NV is pale straw in colour with a fine bead and creamy mousse. The wine has a distinctive nutty bouquet, which shows the richness of a Pinot Noir dominant blend and the benefits of extended maturation. An elegant finely structured wine in which the fruit flavours harmonise with biscuity, yeast derived complexities and crisp acidity to give a lingering dry finish.
