After a decision to change careers and enter the wine world we spent three years searching for the perfect vineyard site in the Okanagan Valley. In 2006 Janice and I purchased a small 1.62 HECTARE vineyard on the Naramata bench. In late 2008 we purchased a 6.9 HECTARE property in Okanagan Falls. We hired the best winemaker and viticulturists and focus on small lot single vineyard wines of excellence in the traditions of Burgundy. To produce the finest quality wines in the traditions of burgundy, we followed certain philosophies, strategies and techniques in production. Each wine reflects the single vineyard of its origin, the soil, the climate, the slope. Hand harvested, hand crafted, with great attention to detail, we take pride in each bottle of wine. Meyer Family Vineyards wines are produced on two main vineyards. Winemaker Chris Carson brings a wealth of experience to Meyer Family Vineyards. His philosophy is to care for the grape on the vine and maintain as much as possible a hands-off approach in the cellar to allow the true expression of the terroir. Chris returned home to Canada after spending eight years in New Zealand, where he worked with many prestigious wineries including Akaura, Gibbston Highgate Estate, Hinton Estate Vineyard, Te Kairanga, Rippon Vineyard and Winery, Chard Farm Vineyard. He also spent time with Domaine Fernandand Laurent Pillot, in Chassagne Montrachet, Burgundy, France and Josh Jenson, Calera Wine Company. Chris has an impeccable reputation for producing excellence.#

Spicy, baked apple skin, buttery, vanilla, creamy, pear and oatmeal aromas. Dry, fresh, slightly tart palate with an austere edge. Butter, honey, grapefruit rind, green apple, clove and waxy, oatmeal flavours. Very buttery, creamy finish.
