We do things a little differently around here – and that’s what gives Jack Daniel’s its distinctive character. We Charcoal Mellow our whiskey drop by drop, then let it age in our own handcrafted barrels. And we don’t follow a calendar. Our Tennessee Sippin’ Whiskey is ready only when our tasters say it is. We use our senses, just like Jack Daniel himself did. In fact, more than a century later, our Tennessee Whiskey is still judged the same way. By the way it looks. By the way it smells. And of course, by the way it tastes. This limited edition celebrates the 125th anniversary when Mr. Jack Daniel opened the doors of his Red Dog Saloon. Originally located on the Lynchburg town square, all that remains of the Red Dog Saloon are myths and legends – until today. This special bottling, commemorates the days when you could buy a drink of Jack’s smooth sippin’ Tennessee Whiskey in the town where it was made. Like every drop of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, this expression is distilled in Lynchburg, just as it was when Mr. Jack opened his saloon back in 1892.
Dark amber in colour. The bouquet shows caramel, spearmint, banana, and baking spice. The palate has subtle hints of mint, subtle spice, banana, and of course caramel. Warm with lingering notes of toasted oak and a creamy clean finish.
