Product Description
The Hine company was founded in 1763 and has achieved world-wide recognition for bringing authentic cognac to new heights of perfection. Drawing inspiration from his five generations of Hine predecessors, Bernard Hine selects, nurtures and blends Hine cognacs according to a rigorous code of quality without ever losing sight of their primary objective of providing the greatest of pleasures. In addition to Signature Rare, Delicate, Antique Triomphe and Family Reserve, Hine is one of a few rare companies to propose vintage Grande Champagne cognacs. When he died, in 1822, he left more than a prosperous business. His legacy was a name already known and appreciated around the world for the exceptional quality of its cognacs.
A golden and amber hue. The bouquet is pleasant, light floral scents of Jasmine, which turns complex with spicy and fruity notes. Slight hints of orange, pale sultanas, chocolate and pears. The palate is full in flavor and extremely smooth for a VSOP. The molasses and dried fruit aromas have a rum barrel note. A round entry leads to a fruity/sweet medium-bodied of toffee, autumn fruits, and gingery spices. It finishes with a drying wave of charred wood, oak, pepper and dried fruit. The Cognac is perfectly balanced with a good character. The full flavor remains on the palate for a very long time.
