Located on the Orkney Isles, one of the northernmost parts of Scotland, is the Highland Park Distillery. Founded on these remote islands in 1798, the distillery has for two centuries produced a full flavoured, single malt Scotch Whisky. Made from the best barley malted over peat fires; merged with the unique spring waters of the island; and aged in casks for a minimum of twelve years that shape its rare and very distinctive character. Many believe the unique character of Highland Park 12 Year Old Single Malt Whisky comes from the local peat beds which have absorbed the salt spray of centuries and which impart a rooty, heathery quality to the whisky.

Glowing amber in colour. Opens with the sweet and smoky fragrance of peat with notes of honey and fruit. The palate is exceptionally smooth and light, with a bright, velvet texture and a subtle smokiness, a rich malt background and delightful tones of light butterscotch. It finishes in a sweet and smooth lusciousness that is superiorly calming and slightly warming while it fades rather fast, but not too fast.
