Based in the village of St-Aubin, the Roux family own 70 hectares of vineyards in the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise. Domaines Roux dates back to 1885, and the current generation, brothers Sebastien and Mathieu, have propelled Domaines Roux into one of the leading producers in Burgundy. The current team in charge of production consists of brothers Mathieu (winemaking) and Sebastian (the business side of the domaine) and their drive and energy has seen a notable rise in quality. A fantastic, modern cellar has been built overlooking St Aubin village and the business’ negociant arm extended to include ever more wines. The domaine owns vineyards in most of the main appellations, all the way up to Grand Cru.
Domaine Roux Pere et Fils Aloxe-Corton is one of the most complex red Burgundies from the heart of the Côte d’Or, the most prestigious part of Burgundy, have the taste and smell spice and ripe fruit like blueberries and raspberries, currants but even more rustic smells.
