Product Description
The house was founded by our grandfather, Desire Petit in 1932. That year, he immediately planted his first vines in the famous Ploussard “Feule Coast.” In 1970, Gerard and Marcel, children Désiré resumed operations that were just under 1.5 hectares of vines. But the love of work and motivation led them to invest consistently in order to develop the land. So in 1976, they went to conquer the Côtes du Jura by planting 3 acres on the village of Grozon. They continued to expand the vineyard by developing new plots to as rich and varied terroirs that can offer the slopes of Pupillin. Some would say that path was traced by Desire! That’s true, but Gerard and Marcel dug, developed and improved. They applied themselves to cultivate the vines, with passion. The Domaine is now run by the third generation of the Petit family, Damien and Anne-Laure who manage a total of 25 hectares. Located between Burgundy and Switzerland, in an area called the Revermont, the vineyards of Domaine Désiré Petit sit at an altitude of between 200 and 400 meters.
Lots of apple and a nice meaty undertones, savoury but very crisp. The palate explodes with crunchy flavour, with lots of juicy apple and the zip of lemon zest. Long and easy to drink, despite being totally dry in the finish.
