Product Description
The climate of north-eastern Tasmania is certainly cool with many similarities to some of the great winemaking regions of Europe. The Tamar Ridge vineyard was established by Josef Chromy in 1994 when a decision to establish a vineyard in the West Tamar region was made. In its first two years in the market, Tamar Ridge Wines have made some major strides in establishing its reputation as a producer of premium wines. A string of wine show successes and glowing reviews from the Australian wine media provide ample reinforcement that the winemaking team are getting it right.
A pale, straw in colour. The bouquet emphasis is on the bright and lively aromas of ripe new season’s apples and a citrus fruit tang. A well-balanced palate dominated by fresh crunchy apple, a touch of citrus and just a hint of yeasty complexity. It is lively and fresh with a good persistence of flavour and a finish that is dry and refreshing.
