Cockspur Rum Punch
A seductive blend of tropical fruit juices, infused with a generous helping of Cockspur Rum. Tropical juices give sweet, juicy flavors, while the rum adds the great depth of flavor.
Product Description
Cockspur rum was founded by Valdemar Hanschell in 1884. He was of Danish descent and came to Barbados via the Virgin Islands where he had worked for several years in the ship brokerage business. Settling in Barbados, which had become one of the biggest shipping ports in the Western Hemisphere at that time, he founded a ship chandlery, supplying to visiting ships – ropes, sails, salt, fresh fruit, meat and of course rum. Through the years, business thrived and so too did the popularity of Cockspur rum.
Lots of nut and vanilla aromas on the bouquet with a strong citrus blast near the end. As expected, a strong hit of pepper and spice greets the palate first, but mellows quickly into a smooth, sweet yet short finish.

INGREDIENTS
2½oz Doorly's Dark Rum
Cockspur Rum Punch
1/4oz Fresh Lime Juice
Marie Brizard Grenadine syrup
Garnish // Citrus slices, Maraschino Cherries
METHOD
1. Pour in one tablespoon of grenadine syrup into a cocktail glass.
2. Fill the glass with ice.
3. Prepare your garnishes beforehand by skewering citrus slices and cherries for a cute, tropical garnish.
4. Pour the rum punch into each glass to allow for a sunset effect. The drink will be red and the bottom and gradually fade to orange at the top.
5. For a extra kick add a shot or two of dark rum. Garnish and serve.
