Rockland Distilleries began on a family estate in 1924. A pioneering venture, set up to produce high quality Arrack for the first time in Ceylon’s history. For nearly a Century, Rockland Distilleries remains a privately owned family business, maintaining its position as one of the most advanced distilleries in the country. The most treasured of its many products is Ceylon Arrack, a delicious liquid once only accessible to the Royal family, believed to be a ‘gift from the gods’. Ceylon Arrack is 100% natural. The process of distilling the sap, carefully hand collected from the flower a top tall coconut trees is a timeless art. Aged in traditional Sri Lankan Halmilla wood, every step in creating Rockland Ceylon Arrack receives the personal attention of our Master Blender.
Clear but with a light golden hue. The bouquet shows a nutty (hazelnut, acorns) with powdered milk. The palate is also nutty, malty whisky-like notes with hints of dried strawberries. Slightly bitter and complex but with gentle floral and light citrus notes on the finish.
