Product Description
My vision for Bryant Family Vineyard is about achieving excellence. We endeavor to craft beautiful wines that are the ultimate expression of the exceptional terroir. I also believe relationships are key to success, and seek out the most qualified, passionate, talented and dedicated individuals to accomplish our goals. Bryant Family Vineyard located on rocky Sobrante soils overlooking Lake Hennessey at the northern end of Pritchard Hill. The west-facing slope just below the ridge top is perfectly sited to capture prevailing cool lake breezes, while providing protection from drying canyon winds. The combination of soil, sunlight, cool breezes, rockiness, soil depth, and meticulous farming yield wines of exceptional quality. The founder of Bryant Family Vineyard, entrepreneur Donald L. Bryant, Jr.’s life as a vintner is marked by true passion and a drive for excellence. After acquiring the Pritchard Hill vineyard overlooking Lake Hennessey in the late 1980s and replanting it with 100% Cabernet Sauvignon using modern viticulture practices, the first vintage was released in 1992. Bryant’s prevailing goal is to celebrate the vineyard terroir while paying homage to the great wine making traditions of Bordeaux.
The Bettina showcases aromatics of dark cherries and black fruits, hoisin sauce, forest floor, violets, dried tea leaves, wet stones, and fennel. It is a gorgeous wine that is full-bodied and spicy, with bigger tannins than the Bryant and a lively streak of minerality. Like the Bryant, it is terrifically balanced with a pleasant, lingering finish.
