Black Stallion Winery is located in the Oak Knoll District, a wine grape growing Appellation in the southern half of the Napa Valley. The name Black Stallion pays homage to the rich history of the 32 acre estate which was once home to the Silverado Horseman’s Center. The equestrian center featured an indoor riding track, numerous training rings, breeding facilities and an outdoor arena that seated 3,000 spectators. After more than two years of construction, Black Stallion Winery opened its doors in 2007. The indoor track now houses winemaking production but remnants of the original 36 horse stalls are still visible today. In 2010, Black Stallion Winery was purchased by the Indelicato Family, one of the leading family-owned wine producers in the country. The grape growing and wine making history of Delicato Family Vineyards has spanned three generations and more than 85 years. Our winemaking philosophy is simple: Black Stallion Winery is dedicated to crafting high quality wines that are elegant and distinctive yet approachable. We focus on creating wines that reflect the true characteristics of the grape varietal and the agricultural heritage of the Napa Valley.
Bright lemon zest, green apple and hazel nut aromas rise out of the glass followed by a lovely hint vanilla cream soda. The medium-bodied palate echoes the aromas with additional flavors of citrus, almond and spice.
