Product Description
The World’s Only Entirely Handmade Luxury Cuvée. The comparatively tiny size of the Chateau and staff who prepare Armand de Brignac emphasizes the unique, personal nature of each bottle and the family touch of having so few people involved, with chateau patriarch Jean-Jacques and his son Alexandre Cattier directly responsible. A total of just 8 people are involved in making Armand de Brignac. The Cattier family have possessed vineyards in Champagne since 1763. Every aspect of production is carefully handcrafted with the utmost care and respect paid to the quality of the fruit sourced soley from premier and grand cru vineyards to ensure the finest cuvee. Each of the wines produced are considered prestige releases and are all multi-vintage, consisting of three distinct years in each blend. The World’s Number One Champagne? At a recent tasting conducted by the influential ‘Fine Champagne’ magazine – from 1,000 Champagnes blind-tasted – Armand de Brignac was ranked no.1
Bright gold with a strong bead. Highly perfumed bouquet displays pear, nectarine, honeysuckle and sweet butter, plus an undercurrent of spice, ginger and lemon pith adding energy. Fleshy pit fruit and soft citrus flavors provide very good palate coverage and offer pungent spice and candied floral qualities on the back end. Nervy minerality adds lift and cut to the long, gently smoky and subtly sweet finish, which leaves candied orange peel and floral notes behind.
