Product Description
The Bergère family have been growing grapes and crafting champagne for 3 generations, mostly for the large Champagne Houses. Increasingly their best grapes have been kept for their own label. André Bergère currently runs the house with his wife Brigitte and their two children Annaëlle and Adrien who are becoming increasingly involved. The family owns vines in the villages of Fèrebrianges, Etoges and Congy. The grapes for their Grand Cru champagnes come from the famous Grand Cru village of Avize where famous names such as Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot and Roederer source their Grand Cru Chardonnay. These champagnes are extremely easy to enjoy and are of the highest quality, especially the Grand Crus.
Light golden in colour with a fine perlage and the mousse is soft. Plenty of crisp green apples on the bouquet with hints of citrus and brioche. The palate shows brisk acidity, more bright green apple flavours and a hint of savoury nuttiness on the finish. This is a refreshing champagne that has some richness and complexity.
