Product Description
The company is organised like a cooperative: many small brewing families united in 1944 to produce sake together. The brewery itself is located in the heart of the Akita prefecture, at a point where three rivers meet. The brewers are renowned for a quality-first philosophy and the area’s water has been regarded as the purest in Japan since the Samurai period. The Takashimizu range is named after the hill on which the ancient Akita castle once stood.
