Trinidad is an island with rich soil, radiant sunlight, and crystalline water. The cane fields are amazing. Plants grow strong and tall directly out of the soil in an effort to reach the sun. There is no match for the quality of the sugar cane from this island. We extract juice from the first pressing of each carefully selected cane. We select only pure, raw, untouched cane. Then, we double distill to ensure that the entire process is pure. This is what makes our rum so great. It was time to take a chance. The dream behind 10 Cane had become clear to us: to make the greatest rum on earth. Some people tried to convince us it wasn’t possible. We listened. We decided to make 10 Cane anyway. It was our choice to celebrate those people smart enough to try, but foolish enough to enjoy themselves. It was a chance to make something great. To do it our way. To share something with the rest of the world. Now, 10 Cane is a reality. And people will, once again, be able to experience rum the way it was intended to be. 10 Cane is the WORLD’S BEST RUM.
10 Cane starts with Trinidadian sugar canes grown specifically for our rum. The canes are hand-harvested, and rushed to our nearby distillery where they are gently pressed, to extract the first press sugar cane juice. The cane juice is then fermented for 5 days in stainless steel to allow for slow development of aromas. We then distill twice in small batches in French pot stills to better enhance the cane aroma. 10 Cane is then aged for 6 months in vintage French oak barrels. The result is a light, golden mixing rum with a pure and delicate flavor.
