This blend is a mix of different eaux-de-vie from different growing areas of the region. The traditional ageing process in barrels allows a very characteristic taste and color development. The historic cellars of the house of Fussigny are situated by the bank of the Charentes river, making its cellcars humid and perfect for matureing cognac. Once distilled, the eaux-de-vie age in Limousin and Troncaus oak casks.
-
This is the result of several decades of ageing in a limited selection of Limousin oak barrels. ABK6 Extra offers exceptional smoothness combined with powerful aromas driven by sophisticated spices and sandalwood, which evolves into wood, cigar box and earthy notes.
-
Starting with a simple idea in mind – to create a BOLD and INTENSE expression of Extra – Cyril CAMUS asked the Cellar Master Patrick Léger to select the best barrels of Extra Cognac to follow a special ageing process. The chosen barrels are emptied of their precious Cognac and returned to the Master Cooper to be opened and toasted again, one by one, to boost their full aromatic potential. This re-toasting process is tailor-made, barrel by barrel.

The first scent is called Brise de Vincennes (the breeze from Vincennes) and aims to recreate the daytime aromas from the Belle Époque era, with notes of fresh bread, coffee and vanilla. The second fragrance is Nuit Débordante (heady night) to evoke the “glamour and intrigue of Paris after dark” with smells of tobacco, candied orange and patchouli.
-
Warm autumn gilt highlights. The bouquet shows floral hawthorn and wild flowers. The palate is very long, candied apricot notes, old port and orange flavors and the famous “Rancio” – nut flavors, hazelnut, dried fruit mixed with dried flowers – narcissus and hyacinth.

The Hine Bonneuil 2008 Cognac is an unblended delight from a single harvest of, as the name suggests, the year 2008. From the Grande Champagne terroir, it provides a pure expression of the best of the region’s chalky soil, from which the vines draw their unique identity.
-
It is a unique blend composed of Early Landed vintage Cognacs aged in the UK together with some extra old Cognacs matured in Hine’s cellars in Jarnac. Most of the 20 Cognacs contained within the Homage are from the Grande Champagne blended with some exceptional Petite Champagnes. Intensely floral, velvety and long, with hints of citrus fruit and orange peel, so typical of Cognacs aged in England.

Larsen Cognac embodies the idea that trying a new Cognac is about exploring and learning new things. That’s why they crafted the XO Réserve Cognac from Larsen, an incredible blend of 60 different eaux-de-vie with the youngest 10 years old, and the oldest between 20 and 30 years old. It has therefore been aged far longer than the average XO.
