Chateau Sergant is owned by the Milhade family who have partnered with Crus & Domaines. Sergant is situated on a plateau, located west of the village of Lalande de Pomerol. The vineyard covers 21 hectares and sits very near to the iconic neighbouring chateau of Petrus – one of the most expensive and sought after wines in the world. The very qualitative terroir mainly consists of sand and gravels. Thanks to this unique terroir, Château Sergant develops powerful and complex wines, with an intense colour. The ageing in oak barrels gives elegance and complexity to this exceptional wine. To produce the best wine the cellar are equipped with modern equipment, including temperatures controlled. A new ageing cellar has been built to age the wine in new oak barrels. Since 2011, M Hubert de Boüard, the owner of the famous Château Angélus, is the consultant for the Château.
Château Sergant is distinguished by a ruby color supported with purple reflections. The bouquet, fruity, spicy and complex, offers scents of blackberry and vanilla preserves. The palate is ample and balanced, dotted with notes of cherry jam and coffee. The finish is long and persistent.
